The Monster Course Notes for the European Amateur Open 2025 (Tampere Disc Golf Center)
- Course TD: Jari Puranen, +358 44 04147074
- Course address: Soukonvuorentie 14, 33560 Tampere.
- Only parked in the marked areas. (See the course map.) Don’t park on the asphalt yard between Powergrip and St1 gas station.
- Starter’s station at the 1st tee. Remember to visit the starter’s station at the end of the round to verify your scores. Also, remember that you must check in at the starter’s station 5 minutes before your tee time for each round! (PDGA Competition Manual 1.04 B)
- The primary OB line is the white string, where available. If there’s no string, eg. the OB is in a very rough area, use the OB poles. Primarily the OB poles are just a visual aid and the string is the OB line. See the hole maps for detailed OB instructions.
- Possible relief areas marked with blue poles. (Plays as normal OB, but without penalty.)
- Some holes have multiple tees and/or basket positions, and many of the tournament holes are a combination of two permanent holes. Pay close attention to the tees where you’re throwing from and to the baskets you’re playing.
- Water available next to the toilets and at the 1st tee.
- Warming up: While the driving range is reserved for parking, you can warm up your harder throws into the throwing nets. The permanent hole 27 area is available for shorter throws and putting.
- Sudden death play-off holes (for pool C):
- Permanent course holes 1 & 27, if there are still other groups/divisions playing on the tournament course. (Played in a loop until the tie is broken, if necessary.) Note that warming up will be paused in this area for the duration of play-offs.
- Holes 1, 2 & 18, if all other groups/divisions have finished playing. (Played in a loop until the tie is broken, if necessary.)
