Beauty Course Notes (Epilä Disc Golf Park)

  • Course TD: Jani Saukko, +358 44 333 0306
  • Course address: Rankasillankatu, 33270 Tampere. (Google Maps link)
  • There’s ample parking space available. Please refer to the course map below for parking guide.
  • Starter’s station at the 1st tee. Remember to visit the starter’s station at the end of the round to verify your scores. Also, remember that you must check in at the starter’s station 5 minutes before your tee time for each round! (PDGA Competition Manual 1.04 B)
  • Keep in mind that you’re playing in a public course and that some of the holes are temporary. There are also other park users. Be patient, kind towards others, and never throw unless it is safe.
  • If your disc ends up in a private yard, please don’t just walk in and grab it yourself. Wait until after your round before acquiring. (With owner’s permission.)
  • OB marked with white poles, except:
    • The lake on the south side of the course, OB in the water.
    • Football court (holes 15 and 16), OB inside the fence.
    • Asphalt on the parking lot (hole 16), OB starting from the edge of the asphalt.
  • Water available next to the toilets.
  • The OB line of hole 1 island green are the haybales surrounding the island.
  • The ditch on the left side of the hole 2 can flood at times. If a disc ends up on a ditch that is not marked as OB, it is considered casual water.
  • We carded a bogey on the hole 12 materials. It’s actually 99 meters. (Now corrected in the images below.)
  • Drop zones can be used for lost discs and for discs in the OB on all holes that have a drop zone. This is recommended at least on holes 2 and 10.
  • Warm up baskets available during the tournament days, July 12-14. You can warm up your putts in the park between the parking areas. There’s a football goal with a net that you can use to warm up your drives. Unfortunately, there’s not enough space in the Epilä park for a proper warm up throwing area.
  • Sudden death play-off holes (for MA3): 1 & 13. (Played in a loop until the tie is broken, if necessary.)
